Thank you for all your feedback regarding divisional realignment. I have had a number of really good suggestions, and am taking them all into consideration. Will keep everyone posted.

A quick "Sam-related" story. I was playing Wendy last night in gm 2; I should say she was having her way with me, but my wife would object :). Anyway, she was leading by 100 pts, and the tile daemons had simply deserted me. With no hope in sight, I finally pulled an interesting rack (can?ueg) to work with. There was an open "h" on the board & not much else. After shuffling tiles for a while, the lightbulb of inspiration went on and down goes the word "changeup" for 64 pts. Wendy hems & haws for a few moments, and finally lets it stay on the assumption that she still leads by 30 pts. There is a single tile left in the bag for me to draw; normally a scrabble player's nightmare. Wendy is holding "drek" and makes a small play, and then I look at what I drew from the bag---the last "s". And wouldn't you know it, but there's an open space at the end of "changeup" sitting right on the TWS. Down it goes for 42 pts; I get Wendy's rack value and the game was mine. Sam, the inveterate baseball afficianado, had to have been smiling down at the common baseball term I scrounged up for the win, even if it came at Wendy's expense. I guess you could say that I struck Wendy out with my "changeup". :) Which brings up another quickie....the first time I ran the club as substitute director, Sam had gone to participate in the L.A. Dodgers fantasy baseball camp in Vero Beach, FL.
