In what might be tabbed a "surprise finish", Rita returned from her trip and proceeded to dismantle the remaining contenders for the right to face David S. for the club championship. Congratulations to Rita! Final results are: Rita (3-0, +168), Zev (2-1; +27), Hadassah (1-2, -69), and Chani (0-3, -126). David S. & Rita will play a best-of-five game mini-series to determine the club champ for season 55. While David may seem an overwhelming favorite to repeat as club champ, in the words of Yogi Berra, "it aint over til it's over". Attendance for the session was 50 players. In current season action, Div. A leader, Wendy maintained her grip on the lead despite losing her first game of season 56. Close behind her are newly promoted Mia & Dahlia. In Div. B1, Madeline took the lead, with David L. close behind. And in Div. B2, Shirley retained her lead over 2nd place Evelyn.
